How to configure LinkSys WAG120N Modem Router with BSNL Dataone Internet

Guys,

You might have bought LinkSys WAG120N Modem Router and wondering how to configure BSNL internet. Here is the simple steps to do it:

1. Conect your LinkSys Router with a LAN cable to your system
2. Give static IP to your sytem in range of 192.168.1.x
3. Open IE and type 192.168.1.1
4. Username : admin, Password: admin(Default)
5. Goto Basic setup page
6. Select Encapsulation : RFC 2516 PPPoE
7. Multiplexing : LLC
8. Leave PCR and SCR as blank
9. Make Autodetect as disable
10. Under Virtual Circuit
        VPI: 0
        VCI:35
11.Under PPPoE settings
      User Name: your bsnl user id
      Password: your bsnl password
      Service Name: Dataone

Thats all you need. Reboot the router. After Reboot DSL and Internet lights should be glowing.

    I do not have a router and i can only get a weak, slow signal on my ipod touch from a corner in my room. I am using my neighbors wifi and they suggested i got an linksys extender setup that i could put in my room where i get the signal and then it would magnify the signal. Any suggestion?
